Our History
Now in its 51st year, Note-Oriety Show Choir performs throughout Northeast Ohio at senior facilities, nursing homes, meetings, and private parties, as well as a wide variety of community events. Semi-annual concerts are held in December and June at Solon High School.
The group originally began in 1967 as The Mother Singers as part of the South Euclid-Lyndhurst Welcome Wagon. As the all-female group gained popularity, it enlisted the support of the South Euclid-Lyndhurst Recreation department to help them defray costs and provide space to perform. Men were then added to the membership. Thus the “SELREC Singers” was born. In 2011, the SELREC Singers sought a new home and supportive community. Choosing the city of Solon, they changed the group’s name to the Note-Oriety Show Choir.
